  • One of the favorite motives of German landscape painter Carl Ludwig Fahrbach was the forest with all its moods and appearances. Today, many of his works are in distinguished private collections, such as the art collection of Queen Victoria in Sweden.

    We thank Mrs. Dr. Verena Hornig, Bernau, for the confirmation of the authorship of the painting on the basis of a photography. She will include the painting in the III. Volume of the catalogue of works which is still in progress.
