  • The artists primary concern is the critical discussion with our image-saturated presents. He works after photographical models, but is well-know for changing between multiple styles and techniques. That's why many art experts compare him to the renowned German painter Gerhard Richter. With his sometimes photo-realistic, sometimes blurred and sometimes abstract objects he opens up a whole new way of looking at reality for the viewer. His art constantly questions, if reality is more than an illusion of itself. And yet his works are not a representation of reality, but a "reconstruction of the complexity of the real", as he said so himself.

He often chooses sober motives, sometimes even just details in order to edit them via a computer. He digitally deforms his motives and then prints out the finished result and uses it as the starting point for his paintings. He than transfers the pictured with a brush on his canvas in an either reduced, enlarged or accurate form.
